The
Justice and Law Enforcement Reformation Organization is a
non-profit organization established with the view to eradicating
corruption and poverty in our society from the perspective of
the Judiciary and Law Enforcement agencies.
The Institutions of Justice
and Law Enforcement are crucial to the war against corruption
and poverty in Africa. To eradicate corruption and
poverty in our society; the need for an incorruptible Judiciary and Law Enforcement agencies are
crucial. We must accept the fact that
the salaries, conditions of service, benefits and future
security of our Law enforcement officers should be attractive to
our many men and women of dignity and integrity to enable them
perform their responsibilities professionally.
Imagine a
Nation acquiring and
having so much resources; and to place these vast resources in a
vault only to secure the vault with a =N=25,000 (£100.00) lock;
which is the average monthly salary of a senior Police officer
as the only security device within the place. This is the reality of the situation in most African
Countries. African leaders pay less importance to the welfare
and conditions of service of their law enforcement personnel for
obvious reasons. It is therefore important to have an
incorruptible Judiciary and Law Enforcement system that are
capable of questioning public officers, making them
transparently accountable to the Civil Society as a whole.
