We are building and creating a new Political awareness for the reformation of the Judiciary and law Enforcement agencies at the Local, State and federal levels of governance in Nigeria. Your participation and memebership in this organization will be highly appreciated. We are in search of Nigeria with strong commitment to the unity, development and rule of law in the country. We provide the political knowledge and structure to participate and lead at the various legislative arms of Government for an independent Juudiciary, impartial and incorruptible Law Enforcement system in Nigeria.

Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, Nigeria suffers from extreme poverty: 71% of the population lives below the international poverty line. It also has some of the worst social indicators’ in the world:

  • Nigeria is a Federal Republic of 36 States and a Federal Capital Territory. Both the Federal and State government are democratically elected. The next election will be held in April 2011.

  • 52% of the population or approximately 73 million people live on less than one dollar a day (Nigerian National Bureau of Statistics, Poverty Profile, 2006)

  • Gross National Income (GNI) per capital is $560 (World Bank, 2005). UK=$37,600

  • National net primary education attendance ratio is 60% (World Bank, 2005) but there are wide regional and gender disparities. UK=100%

  • Average life expectancy in Nigeria is 44 years (World Bank, 2005) UK=79 years.

  • 1 in 5 Children (20%) die before the age  of 5 (World Bank, 2005) UK=0.6%

  • Approximately 45% of the workforce is unemployed.

  • Approximately 800 per 100,000 women die in child birth (World Bank, 2005) although this may exceed 1000 per 100,000 in some regions. UK = 11 per 100,000

  • The average annual growth rate over 5 years was 5.7% (2000-2005, World Bank)

  • 48% of the population has access to safe and clean water (UNICEF/WHO Joint monitoring Programme, 2004) UK = 100%

  • 42% of the population has access to electricity. Where this available; supply is erratic.
